I stopped using Safari 4 within a day. Horrible! So many new misguided ‘features’.

Thanks for this though. If Apple eventually make me switch to Safari 4, this will come in handy.

No the water going down the drain does not mix with the cold water going to the shower.

Instead the device is simply acting as a heat exchanger and uses the heat in the draining water to heat the incoming cold water.

Nice and simple with no complicated technology involved but unfortunately no real water conservation either.

There is some energy conservation realized though as you won’t be needing as much hot water because the ‘cold’ water is being heated up a bit. I’d like to see some concrete math as to how much energy is saved though because the pessimist in me tells me not much.

This is super confusing: is some of the waste water from the drain re-used and mixed with the heated water?
In class, we’re actually talking about water conservation. Simple appliances like these would be great for conservation.
