Its Alive (again)

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 6 and a half years since we built our first 9i RAC cluster at ITEC (April 23, 2004 to be exact) … But a little over 2 and a half years since we decommissioned our last 10g RAC cluster and we’re back in the game with a bouncing baby 11gR2 cluster in our data center.

The software and utilities have aged well and even though this time round things are (of course) a bit more complex I’m confident that our team is up to the task.

I’ll be providing more details on our setup in the coming months but it does have some unique requirements driving it’s design which some may find useful.
