So I seem to draw an awefull lot of diagrams these days. The kickass tool I use is of course OmniGraffle and I’ve been pleased to no end with the quality of this absolutely first rate product.
But alas, I’ve not been totally happy with the stencils I could find for making my pretty little diagrams.
So – seeking to nurture my (limited) artistic abilities I have set upon a quest. A quest to create my own (most awesome) stencil – which I will of course share up to the most excellent stencil sharing site Graffletopia.
Here is a preview of the first two items in my someday to be released IT Architecture Stencil. Fridge quality doodles if I do say so myself
FYI – To pull this off, I’ve taken the opportunity to teach myself Adobe Illustrator so the resulting stencil objects are high quality s**t.
So far, these 2 items have probably taken me 10+ hours to create but it’s a good way to spend a rainy evening or afternoon. I’ve got pretty good ideas on how I envision other items in the stencil (not sure if I will include ‘dumps’ but it will definitely take some time to complete …
